FAQWhat is the best way to use curateDE?
How does curateDE get it's content or how can I ensure an article/post is on curateDE?
curateDE is designed to "ping" the latest articles and posts posted on web sites
and blogs when they are "tweeted" by some one. Similar to an RSS feed except we
have designed it to only ping a portion or one photograph and only the first couple
of text lines on the original post or article. The more the article/post is tweeted/shared,
the more likely it will appear on curateDE.
How often do new articles come on curateDE?
Articles are updated by the hour. However, if there are no recent tweets on an article/post
from a web/magazine site or blog, then, only the last few tweeted will appear under
that source.
Who are curateDE's sources?
We have hand picked the best of magazines and blogs focused on interiors, architecture,
fashion and art that have great content on their web site or blog and which get
tweeted quite a lot. With blogs in general, we look for those that are not only
popular but also share great information and knowledge that seems impartial to any
particular business/professional.
How does one make the list?
If you think you have a source that should make our list, first make sure that their
articles/posts are being tweeted. If not, make sure to add the share/tweet button
here. Then, submit the url of the web site/blog to us. While
we can't promise every submission will be accepted in our list, we will take a look
at the submitted site/blog and ensure it passes our criteria and add only those
to the list.
What if I don't have a facebook or twitter account?
You can still use our site, view the lead-ins of all the sources we have and even
click on them to go to the original source. We only require that you log in using
your facebook/twitter account in order for you to be able to select and save your
favorite sources and save your favorite articles. We do not require for you to set
up a new account id and password specific to our site as it is redundant and easier
for most people to use their existing facebook/twitter accounts.
By logging in with my facebook/twitter account am I allowing your site access to my personal information and friends, etc.?
The only reason we ask you to log in with your facebook or twitter id and password
is for you to be able to save your select sources and favorite articles. We do not
make any unauthorized use of any of your personal information. Our revenue stream
is expected to come only from future Ads we may have on our site.
Is there or will there be any user fee/charge to use your site?
No. curateDE is free and we intend to keep it free as long as we still own the site.
How many sources can I select?
While we are increasing the number of sources to select from, in order to preserve
the idea of making it easier to select and read from numerous sources and hence
the number of articles and pages in your "my page" view, we are limiting your selections
up to a maximum of 30. But remember you can always view content from all the sources
you which you have not selected by simply selecting the name of the source you want
to read from in the "Sources" tab.
So, how many articles will there be at any given point of time in "My page" and from any one of my select sources?
While we do have a maximum of 200 articles limited to your "MY Page", this entirely
depends on how many articles from each of your selected sources are being tweeted.
We have already seen that some magazine articles and blog posts are being tweeted
a lot and some blogs and magazines don't even have a share/tweet button set up on
their site which allows readers to share those sites/blogs' articles and posts easily.
We have tried to list only those sources we know have at least a few shared articles/post
tweets per week.
So that's it? Nope.
This is just the beginning! At curateDE we are constantly coming up with ideas to
enhance your experience on our site. That means, we will be adding new and useful
features, original content, plenty of useful stats, etc. Become a fan of our facebook page and follow us on
Twitter. We'll let you know all the good news and latest updates and
enhancements.
